So Crowded , So Pinkish

I passed the oxygen therapys. The second day was also a public holiday for Moslems in Indonesia. We went to the hospital in a hurry because of the traffic and i woke up so late.Spent quite a boring long time sleeping in the marine tube, and daydreaming about what i'm going to buy at Atom.

Then. ..We went to Atom for shopping in the afternoon.

As i got there i was so surprised to see the terrible traffic jam in front of the Atom. Atom has 4 entrances and all of them are crowded, busy and noisy. It was the most crowded day in Atom so that i couldnt get any parking space easily. I met Titi's car-in front of my car while waiting in line for the parking ticket entry- but never bump into him while wandering in the Atom

I bought a belt by Guess which i found the style is a Nice simply gramourous vintage belt...the rest ? i dont buy any clothes there-too girly for me! And the style wont stay longer than a season. Only bought some DvDs - i think the owner of the dvd stall showed some interest on me so he gave me pretty good price :P.

well, i don care-as long as i got good discount. hehehe. . .

I love my new gloves and pink dog (stuffed animal). They're very cute and fits me- i dont care what my friend said about pink never fit me. But these one are the cutest pinkish and loveable stuff from my wardrobe.

Third day of Oxygen Therapy . . .

I felt not much diffrent after joining the therapys for 3 days.I started to give up, cos it costs a lot. Mum got nosebleed and some other trouble with her ears so we decided not to join the forth day and so. I hope dad never know- otherwise he will gone mad to us.

I spent the rest of the day by having facial treatment and watching dvds at home. They still use ginger extract all over my face and its so hella hot after that. Feels like my face skin about to peel off my face all at once. It actually reminds me of an old movie, Face Off by John Travolta and Nicholas Cage.

Honestly, I love that movie a lot , and i think it has given me a nightmare when i watched it a long time ago as well as a new idea for skin technology centre to invent a new way to peel off skin layer of women faces to regenerate new skin.

Mum never fails to convice me watching her any of her favourite movies, including this very long episodes Korean drama called 'Jewel In the Palace' which attract my attention a lot while sitting next to her yesterday.Eventhough mum always falls asleep after 11 in front of the tv, i still found the movie was great and very touchy. The story are about chefs in the Korean palace and how they compete each other to be the chef leader. I only hope this movie wont get me addicted.

But i reckon this movie to every womenreaders to try watching it. . .

Somewhere over the rainbow

Today is still raining hard - my mom was soaked when she got into the car after buying some lunch for us. She forgot to bring her umbrella. I joined an oxygen therapy at the navy's hospital today with mum and ku Cince. It was a boring experience since i forgot to bring my book along in the big tube. We were sitting inside a big tube which looks like an underwater marine ship for two hours with 50-feet-underwater depth pressure. It's torturing my ears. and i would have to go through all therapys for 5 days from today before i go back to Samarinda :(

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow"This hawaiian song keeps playing in my head as i writing this blog and viewing some awesome photographers' portfolio website. Honestly i adore babies and kids photography. Looking into their eyes makes your heart melt of their innocence and adorable faces. One of my favourite website is Erin Drallos' portfolio in Footprints Photography. I found this link randomly while i was browsing for some other photography links on google. An absolute-beautiful and natural black and white baby and kids pictures taken by a real professional. I reckon anybody who read this post would drop by and take a look.

I also went to gramedia book store today.Yesterday was the day they release Harry Potter book 6 Indonesia translation- they put up some hanging mobile ads and some wizardy decoration in the store. They sell all previous harry potter books with 15% discount which didnt attract me at all. Still waiting til the last book then i would buy all books at once (english version) as my worth collection - beside Friends DVD.

Still working as a freelancer photo editor who desperates and needs some money for living- still love blogging eventhough i know i'm not a good writer. I started to get bored with this holiday. I need to do something -may b should start working on portfolio to apply my graphic design master degree soon. I gotta be sure where i want to go. Academy Art of University is my first option - i'm not sure if i could b accepted there, but i need more reference and information from anyone who knows about this university well. Work Hard-Design More- What i should do to get more supports for my motivation and build my confidence! >_<

and that's where the bali bomber die...

2 Years ago, we were unpleasently surprised by a big blast bomb in Bali which took more than a hundred victims of foreigner and local Balinese and by some other bombs in Jakarta and other cities in Indonesia. But then the police now has caught(killed) the important person, Dr.Azhari who's involved as the bomber especially in East Java area in a rented house , Flamboyan area, Songgoriti Batu. They had stayed in that house quite a long time but none of the neighbours noticed them.As the criminals had been found by the polices, they commited suicide and exploded themselves by a bomb which has damaged the whole house.
Rented vila for crime headquarter A Closer look at the bomb spot
And now, the damage house become a sudden new resort in Batu city which attracts many attention to visit, i'm one of them :) The closest neighbour become a sudden guide as well as the eye witness who told us the whole story. From how they kidnapped their nephew, the police shot Dr. Azhari until they exploded themselves and some part of the body got into the neighbour's front garde (eww!!). He also sells some local snack/ food (gift-souvenir) ,vcds, and t shirts. Quite ridiculous but make sense. hehe.. I like the apple juice though - tastes good! :P

New Year,Harvest Season in City of Apple.

I went to Batu,City of Apple for new year celebration with my family. We have a nice villa up on the mountain ,about 10 miles from the Batu City.I spend 3 days in Villa by watching movies, sleeping all day, being lazy, visiting new resort, and walking around the Vila. It surprised me to find out there're like hundreds or thousands of apple trees behind the vila estate. It was harvest season for apple in the city. I could see many people selling their apples on the street for very good price. The price rate was only about Rp.2000 (about 20c) per kilo. My Mum bought 6 kilos at least... i didnt ask her how much exactly.

By Curiousity, we also visited the house which was exploded by bomb when Dr.Azhari was caught and died (read post - and that's where the Bali bomber dies ... -) in Flamboyan Villa Area, Songgoriti , Batu

A day before New Year's eve, we got a very good news about my dad achieving an award as The best M-Kios* Reseller in Samarinda.
*M-Kios is an electric refill system for mobile credit.
We were so happy to get that award, because it was so unpredictable. We Thank God for His Blessing for our family for this YearEnd.
We spend the following night going to eat roast corn, browsing for some durians (my dadddy's favourite fruit) and buying some fireworks for new year celebration. We was so afraid that it rains on the new year's eve, which was relaly happened. My dad spent quite much on the fireworks, but really worth it.He seemed disapointed when it started to rain at 10 p.m,but then he tried hard to cheer us on yearend eventhough we were all so tired and sleepy waiting for the countdown. NO neighbours could beat our great fireworks. hehehe.. I Love spending my new year with family. Being so close with them makes me feel i want to be closer to them because i love them.

Here is a picture i took in my own room , a couple hours before we went back to Surabaya. My mum complaints a lot seeing me wearing that big pink loose jacket belongs to her. She said it doenst fit young girl like me.But since it looks so feminine, i dont care :P

Later after i got home, i found a nice quote for this new year and been thinking of my new year resolution. I got so many so decided to list down some here , so i wont forget :D
. Loosing some more weighs - no more FATs!
. Getting through my last year in college and graduated with satisfaction
. Getting my 'soon' Master application accepted
. Be a good daughter
. Be a good servant of God
. Trying more new things
and many more...

My favourite quote for this New Year :
It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.
- Seneca

A Post-Holiday Survival Guide

You're eggnog-ed out. Your "Ho, ho, ho" has turned into "Oh, no, no." And now that snow looks plain ol' dingy. Merry Chris-mess.

Hold on a second ... the holiday season is about beginnings -- new life, fresh hope. Maybe the garland is drooping but those joyous spirits can still fly high.
As for that sagging Christmas tree, many park systems offer post-holiday recycling. They're used for making mulch and compost; chipped to improve nature trails or submerged into ponds and lakes for improving fish habitat.

Reread Your Christmas Cards
Check the cupboards for the last packet of cocoa. Pour yourself a cup, light a fragrant candle, settle down under a cozy blanket and reread your Christmas cards. Now that the pressure is off, you have time to reconnect with the people that you only contact once a year with a holiday card. Your friends will appreciate finding a good old-fashioned letter included in their pile of mail. (Sure beats all those credit card bills.)

Stock Up on Holiday Wrapping Paper, Boxed Cards and Decorations
You'll be dashing through the snow again in just about eleven months.

Don't Scrap It...Scrapbook It
Scrapbooks are storybooks. Tell yours with holiday photos, ticket stubs, cards, shreds of wrapping paper, gift tags or any memento of the season. Arrange all your items in a way that best tells about your experience. Write captions and comments so you can relive those moments decades from now. Make it easy with scrapbooks that almost make themselves. I am going to make my own scrapbook for all things happened in my life :)

Start One New Thing
Bet you'll soon be making a resolution so there's no time like the present to get going. Join a new group, take a class, begin a diet (again?) ... give it a try. New years were made for this sort of stuff for me and everyone. For me, i might have to start being more diligent, optimistic in everystep i take ahead of my life. I need to re-decorate my life with lots of care and happiness.

And if your holidays fell short of your happiness expectations, start making it better for next year. If relationships were the problem, reach out and mend fences. Take the first step and send them a card. This is a very great idea . Write some cards to your friends telling how happy you are to have them and apologize to those whom you make mistakes to. Leave all ur regrets behind you, and start to step on the new year in your life.
